1941 – 2018
Clark Olaf Meech age 76, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Fargo Sanford Hospital where he was surrounded by his family.
Clark was born December 29, 1941 at home to Donald and Fern (Loween) Meech. He attended country school through the 8th grade, then continued onto Sebeka High School. He called Nimrod, Minnesota home his entire life.
He married Beatrice Hove on October 27, 1962 at Nimrod Alliance Church. They were married for 55 years and blessed with six children. Over the years they dairy farmed and custom fenced. Over the years Clark enjoyed hunting with his brothers, friends, kids and grandchildren. Clark’s lifelong passion was baseball where he played and managed for 41 years. He was inducted into the Lake and Pine Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame.
Clark will be sadly missed by his wife Beatrice; five sons: Richard (Sue) Meech of Menahga, Randy (Shelly) Meech of Sebeka, Rodney Meech of Browerville, Ross (Lisa) Meech of New York Mills, Reese (Mellanie) Meech of Nimrod, and one daughter, Rosanne Bauer of Nimrod; eighteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one on the way; two brothers: Don (Evelyn) Meech of Bluegrass and Robert (Kassie) Meech of Nimrod, and multiple nieces and nephews. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, grandparents and two grandchildren.
The funeral was held at the Sebeka United Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 24. Active pallbearers were his children and honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
