1958-2018
Theodore “Ted” Workman, 59, of Sebeka, Minnesota passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis.
A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 3 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Park Rapids. Visitation will be one hour prior. Friends may leave online condolences at www.ceasefuneralhomne.com
Ted was born November 11, 1958 to Marvin and Alice Collier in Sacramento, California.
He joined the United States Army in 1976, and served his county for many years with honor. He was a member of the D.A.V, and had knowledge, wisdom and pride in everything there was to do with our armed forces.
On October 22, 1982 Ted married Renee Vernon in Colorado Springs, Colorado and together they raised four children.
After many years of traveling for the military, Ted settled down in Minnesota in 1994. He was a talented carpenter, attended Wadena Tech School, and loved working on old beater cars. He will be remembered for being a “Jack of All Trades”. He had a wonderful time working at the Park Rapids Wal-Mart assembling numerous items throughout his career.
Ted was a loving and proud grandpa to his grandchildren, he enjoyed playing jokes, nerf gun wars and family BBQs. He truly would give anyone the shirt of his back.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and parents, Alice and Marvin.
Ted is survived by his wife, Renee; children: Christian (Lou) Workman of Menahga, John (Ashley) Workman of Brainard, Mathieu (Amanda) Workman of Jamestown, North Dakota, and Cathlein (Jake) Mikus of Menahga; six grandchildren: Bryce, Gilbert, Cidney, Maria, Adriana, and Parker; sisters: Viki (Tom) Flux of California, Kathy (Mike) Willert of California, Christina (Rick) Kellogg of California; brother, Marvin Collier, Jr; step-mother, Lenora; and nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
