Donna Hietala, 79, of Neosho, Missouri, formerly of Sebeka Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2019, at Spring River Christian Village in Joplin, Missouri.
Donna was born on February 23, 1940 in Wadena County, one of thirteen children to Merle and Lucille (Riest) Manselle. In 1947 she was adopted by Charles and Margaret Bimberg. She graduated from Sebeka High School in 1958.
Sid and Donna moved to Neosho, Missouri in 2016. Donna did daycare from her home for many years, worked at the Sebeka Bakery, she worked for both Marv’s and Harv’s in Sebeka, and the Bank in Sebeka. She enjoyed doing needlework, scrapbooking and was an avid reader. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 34 years, Sidney Hietala. Donna is also survived by her daughters: Doris Coventry, of Sidney Illinois, Audrey Olson of Sebeka, stepdaughter Cynthia Forbes and stepson Russell (Lora) Hietala, both of Neosho, Missouri; one brother, Charles (Chuck) Bimberg and wife, Judy; two sisters: Margaret (Maggie) McCoy and husband Lacey, and Carol Stockdale and husband, Sheldon (Shelly); five granddaughters, two step grandsons, three great grandsons, three step great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Debra Gettel; siblings: Wilbur (Bill) Manselle, Robert Manselle, Lyle Manselle, Blanche Ash, Fern Kingery, Rodger Sorum, David Sorum, Lucille (Lucy) Karlson and an infant sister, Dorothy.
