Ann Schultz
1958-2020
Ann Marie (Torvinen) Schultz, age 62, a lifelong resident of Menahga, Minnesota, peacefully passed into eternity on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 in the comfort of her own home with her loved ones at her side.
Anne was born on July 28, 1958 in Park Rapids to Phillip and Elaine (Gustafson) Torvinen. Her childhood years were spent in the Grand Rapids and Menahga areas where she attended public schools and grew into womanhood. As a young woman she found employment at the Cheese Plant in Sebeka. In the summer of 1978, Anne was married to James Boyer in Nimrod. They were blessed with two daughters: Melissa and Tanya. Eighteen years later, on August 27, 1996, her life was fulfilled in her marriage to David Schultz in Park Rapids. Their union was blessed with a son, Aaron. Anne devoted her life to making a loving home for her family. She will be long remembered for her delicious home cooking and loved to cook for her family and friends. In addition to caring for her family, Anne enjoyed working at area greenhouses. She was gifted in nurturing plants and flowers to grow into beautiful splendor. Anne was a rock hound who enjoyed collecting a variety of rocks when time allowed. She was also an ornithophile, who was often asked what kind of bird one had in their yard. Either by sight or sound she would be able to answer their question. She was especially fond of hummingbirds and was always sure to have food ready for them each season. When her busy days allowed Anne was a voracious reader. Above all Anne treasured her soulmate, David and loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart.
Anne will be lovingly remembered by her husband, David of Menahga; her two daughters: Melissa Ndubi of Columbia Heights, and Tanya Boyer of Kenai, Alaska; her son, Aaron Schultz and his fiancé, LizAnn Rahto both of Brainerd; his two bonus daughters: Jennifer (Gary) Schaefer of Park Rapids and Juliette Schultz of North Carolina; her bonus son, Jason (Tara) Schultz of Little Falls; her 12 dearly loved grandchildren and two precious great grandchildren; her three sisters: Mary (Tim) Haapala of Menahga, Lori (Jeff) Toppari, and Donna (Russell) Hall all of Elizabeth; and her brother, Terrence Torvinen of Sebeka; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents; her two sisters: Constance Torvinen and Shirley Torvinen and one brother, Philip Torvinen.
