Richard Trimble
1939 – 2022
Richard “Dick” Trimble, age 82, of Loveland, Colorado passed away peacefully at home on May 11, 2022 surrounded by his family. Richard was born on July 20, 1939 to William Ernest Trimble and Ida Irene Trimble in Menahga, Minnesota. At age 17, he enlisted in the Air Force. His time in the Air Force led him to a lifetime of patriotism.
In 1967, Richard married the love of his life, Raechel, in Minneapolis. They had three children before moving to Denver in 1978. Weekend camping trips to Boyd Lake was a family favorite as the kids were growing up. In 1992, Richard and Raechel moved to a beautiful lake home in Loveland where they enjoyed spending time with family including their eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. In his spare time Richard enjoyed hunting, camping, and walleye fishing. He made frequent hunting and fishing trips to the Colorado mountains, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Canada.
Richard worked in the construction industry for 47 years where he was well-respected and a mentor to many. He earned several awards including the prestigious Greg Thompson Memorial Leadership and Dedication award in 2004. He retired in 2007 from Garney Construction.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings: Bill Trimble and Ernie Trimble. He is survived by his wife, Raechel Trimble, his siblings: Louise Stewart and David Trimble, and his children: Stacey (Rob) Good, Richard (Shelley) Trimble, and Travis (Stephany) Trimble. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services will be held on May 20, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Allnutt Funeral Home in Loveland, Colorado. Richard will be recognized with full military honors.
