Edwin Frith 1936 – 2022

Edwin Lee Frith, 85, Menahga, MN passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022 at his home.
Ed was born November 19, 1936 to Kinnison and Katherine (Fish) Frith in Minneapolis, MN. He grew up in Minneapolis and attended vocational high school, graduating in 1955. He was a member of the Minnesota National Guard from 1953-1962. On September 15, 1962 he was united in marriage to Helen Koskela in Wolf Lake, MN.
Ed drove truck for Tuffy’s Pet Products for 30 years, retiring in 2000. Ed volunteered at the food shelf and for Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Serving the church and helping people gave him great joy and fulfillment. His guiding truth was John 3:16. Ed was excited to meet the Lord of heaven and earth. He passed to glory peacefully.
Ed is survived by his wife of 59 years, Helen Frith of Menahga; children: Mark (Leigh) Frith, James (Jill) Frith, and Lynn Frith; three grandchildren: Aaron, Hannah, Tristan; and sister, Doris (Bob) Smith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kinnison and Katherine; sister, Gerri Ekberg; and niece, Robin Dornbush.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11 a..m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Park Rapids, MN with visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
Memorials are preferred to the Local Lutheran Hour at St. John’s Lutheran Church and to St. Joseph’s Hospice in Park Rapids.
