Jeanette Trimble 1929 – 2023

Jeanette Trimble (93) passed away on September 2, 2022 in hospice care in Sioux Falls with both of her children at her bedside. Jeanette was born May 30, 1929 to James and Lavena Lemon (Pike) on the family farm in Hubbard County, MN. She loved living on the farm and helping her dad, which attributed to her courageous approach to life.
Jeanette married the love of her life, Bill Trimble of Menahga, MN in 1948. They raised their two children, Kathy and Ron, in Bloomington, MN, creating many fond memories that included road trips when the kids were young and later travelling to all of Ron’s football games, many times with their pop-up camper in tow. Jeanette worked for the Bloomington school district for 23 years.
As “empty nesters”, Jeanette and Bill later moved to Eden Prairie, MN. In 1992, Jeanette relocated to Sioux Falls, SO, where she lived the rest of her life. She always looked forward to going to the lake in Hackensack, MN with Kathls family for many summers, and enjoyed travelling throughout the US, as well as taking trips to London, New Zealand and various cruises. In her spare time, she kept busy with crafting, quilting and painting. She also enjoyed golfing, many times with her grandchildren, and was very proud of her hole-in-one. Jeanette loved spending time with all of her grandchildren and cherished their phone calls and visits.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Marcella, brother Charles and her husband Bill. She is survived by her children: Kathy Miller (Greg) of Garretson, and Ron (Robyn) Trimble of Pukwana; grandchildren: Adam and Aaron Harrington and Lindsey, Corey and Stephanie Trimble.
A memorial service will be held on June 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Bethany Lutheran Church, Menahga with a luncheon to follow.
