Patricia Grewing 1927 – 2023

Patricia “Pat” Alice Grewing of rural Nimrod, 96, passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 21, 2023 at Astera Healthcare in Wadena, MN. Pat had received compassionate care in her home in 2023 by family and Knute Nelson Hospice.
Patricia Alice Hietala was born the seventh of nine children to Walter and Sophia (Grangruth) Hietala on June 11, 1927, in Menahga, MN.
Pat married Harry Hogan Grewing on March 23, 1946, in Wadena, MN. They made their home south of Nimrod where they raised their family and built a beautiful life on their farm. A woman of many talents, Pat enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, crocheting and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend.
Preceding Pat in death were her husband, Harry (12-29-2010); parents, Walter and Sophia; and siblings: Westley, Selmi, Elmer, Wilbert, Charlie, Victor, Bernice and Ellen.
Forever remembering Pat will be her children: Keith (Cynthia) Grewing of St. Paul, MN, Jerry Grewing of Wadena, MN, Jimmy Grewing of Nimrod, MN, and Melissa (Thomas) Orth of Burnsville/Park Rapids, MN; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren.
A private memorial gathering for Pat will be held at a later date. Burial will be in West Lyons Cemetery in rural Verndale, MN.
