Roger Lambert Sr. 1945 – 2023
Roger Lee Lambert was born on June 16, 1945, to Lester and Emma (Baker) Lambert in Wyandotte, Michigan. He attended school in Oklee, Minnesota.
Roger served as a United States Marine in Vietnam. Roger married Jacqueline Joan Carr. During his lifetime he worked as a painter and general contractor, bred Thoroughbred horses and was a jack-of-all trades.
Roger enjoyed singing country music, Thoroughbred horse racing and breeding, animal husbandry, collecting antiques, tinkering and building with repurposed materials.
At age 78, Roger Lambert passed away on November 4, 2023, at his home surrounded by his children and brothers.
Preceding Roger in death are his wife Jacqueline Lambert, parents: Lester and Emma Lambert; sisters: Barbara Beard, Bernadette Daymude; and brothers: Leland and Leslie Lambert.
Roger is survived by children: Roger (Laura) Lambert, Jr. of Redwood Valley, California and Rebecca Lambert Hopkins of San Jose, California; grandchild: Gabriel Hopkins; siblings: Russell Lambert of Park Rapids, Minnesota, Sharon (Kenneth) Rhue, North Carolina; Lew Lambert of Arkansas City, Kansas; Mark (Pam) Lambert of North Carolina; David (Denise) Lambert of Newkirk, Oklahoma; Brenda (Casey) Barber of Winfield, Kansas.
