Gloria Beishline 1932 – 2024


Gloria Robbins Beishline, 92, was born on an unseasonably warm day, January 13, 1932, whereupon her father was picking dandelions. She passed away on March 18, 2024, with her family by her side. She is survived by her sister, Kay, and her children: Teresa, Lisa, Steven of Sacramento, CA, and David of Phoenix, AZ; 14 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband Harold in 2016.
Her childhood was spent in Turbotville, PA where she graduated in the class of 1949. She was employed as a payroll clerk for American Car and Foundry.
She married Harold Beishline, a carpenter in 1955. She served as a bookkeeper for Beishline Construction. Harold and Gloria established their home in Milton, PA where their union was blessed with four children. In the summer of 1968, she traveled out west with her family looking at various farms and also sightseeing. After touring various mid-western and western states, they decided to purchase a farm, called Hay Creek Stock Farm near Sebeka, MN, and moved there in 1969. Gloria and her husband farmed for 28 years. Then in 1997, they sold the farm and moved to Wadena, MN.
Gloria enjoyed reading, hiking, playing board games, using her iPad, riding bikes, and visiting historical places. She was a member of Southbrook Baptist Church, TOPS (Take Off and Keep Off Pounds Sensibly) and Homemakers. She also enjoyed volunteering at Tri-County Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Southbrook Baptist Church in Wadena, Minnesota. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at church. Gloria will be laid to rest on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Camp Ripley, in Little Falls, Minnesota.
The family asks that donations be made to Southbrook Baptist Church in Wadena, MN instead of flowers or other gifts.
